K-9 Cartel is an online pet store for large dog breeds such as Rottweilers, American Bulldogs, American Staffys and German Shepherds, just to name a few.
The brand aims to promote reliable and quality products that are suitable for larger breeds with a key focus on safety for the animal and owner, as they go through training.
K-9 Cartel want to stand out with bright colours and use the theme of ‘dogs playing poker’ to help break the stigma of bigger dog breeds being ‘scary’. With this in mind, the branding reflects a deck of cards, with the diamond being a key mark of the brand. Using all aspects of the cards, such as the heart, spade and club is crucial in making the brand come to life. Including a clean, sans serif typeface keeps the branding legible, clean and scalable for the large range of products that they sell.
