Terms & Conditions

Scope of Work
This proposal includes the Personal Brand Foundation package as outlined, comprising a basic logo, mini style guide, and Canva social media templates.
Any services, deliverables, or requests not expressly included within this scope will be considered out of scope and quoted or billed separately.

Fees & Payment Terms
All fees are quoted in AUD and are exclusive of GST.

  • 50% deposit is required to commence the project

  • 50% balance is due prior to final delivery of all files

Work will not commence until the deposit has been received. Final files will not be released until full payment has been made.

Out of Scope Work
Any additional work requested beyond the agreed scope, including additional concepts, revisions, design variations, strategy, or consulting, will be billed at:

Student rate: $120 per hour + GST

Usually $300 + GST for our Director Rate

The client will be notified, and approval will be obtained before commencing any out-of-scope work.

Revisions
This package includes:

  • One (1) initial design direction

  • One (2) rounds of revision

Any revisions beyond this, or changes that alter the original brief, will be treated as out-of-scope work and billed accordingly.

Timeline & Delays
The estimated project timeline is 4-6weeks and is dependent on timely client feedback and approvals.

Society by Design is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Late feedback or approvals

  • Incomplete or delayed client information

  • Changes to the project scope

Delays may result in timeline adjustments.

Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to:

  • Provide clear and timely feedback

  • Supply any required content or information

  • Ensure all materials provided are accurate and legally compliant

Intellectual Property & Usage
Upon full payment, the client is granted a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use the final approved designs for their business.

Society by Design retains ownership of all concepts, drafts, and working files not selected or approved.

Society by Design reserves the right to display the completed work for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes.

Cancellations & Termination
If the project is cancelled or terminated after commencement:

  • The initial deposit is non-refundable

  • Any work completed beyond the deposit value will be invoiced and payable immediately

Society by Design reserves the right to suspend or terminate the project if payment terms are not met.

Third-Party Platforms
Deliverables such as Canva templates are provided for use within third-party platforms.

Society by Design is not responsible for:

  • Platform limitations or changes

  • Ongoing subscriptions or account access

  • Technical issues outside of its control

Limitation of Liability
Society by Design will not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of the deliverables.

Acceptance
By proceeding, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to the scope, fees, and terms outlined in this proposal.
